Hi folks,

Well, who would believe we had beautiful weather again for the 5th Turkey Leg this year! Ok, there was a slight chilling wind but all in all, sunshine and fairly calm conditions in Sandycove last Sunday.

It was one of those days, getting in was the toughest part. You got used to it by the first corner but it wasn’t a day to hang around. It was more lively between the 2nd and 3rd corner and then the final stretch to home was with the sun on our backs. How bad ?!!

Water temp was between 9 and 10 degC . Yep, nice and ‘fresh’.

Congrats to Finbarr Hedderman who swam his 200th lap of Sandycove this day! Great achievement and the year isn’t even over yet!

We had 20 swimmers – another great turnout –  thank you everyone! :
