Well, once more folks, we had a glorious sunny day, whats more is we had a water temp of 13 degC, warmer than July of this year!
Owen, that West Cork sun dance is working wonders, keep it up!!
Thanks to all who turned up to make a fabulous turnout of 25 swimmers. The water was warm and the waves were ‘lively’ – large swells on the first and third corner made it a long but exhilarating swim. Many wisely swam on the inside of the island as conditions were very ‘lumpy’ .
A great day, enjoyed by all! We even had the seal observing from afar – in fact he was wider out from the island than most of us.
A special thanks to Eoin O’Riordan who diligently looked after a swimmer (will not be named here and is not on the list below) who decided against all advice, to go around the island.
Again, thank you Mike for the tea!
