IMSHOF Inductees

Each year, the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame honours its marathon swimming heroes and champions. We are very proud that this year’s inductees include our own Sandycove Island Swim Club secretary, Ned Denison. Ned is a huge driving force in Irish open water swimming, motivating and encouraging countless swimmers to set big goals and helping them in every way he can to reach those goals. And he’s never without a big goal for himself either! His list of big swims include the English & Santa Barbara Channels, around Jersey, Valentia, Manhattan, Robben and Cobh islands and Lake Zurich. I’m sure that you’ll all join me in wishing Ned huge congratulations on his IMSHOF induction and agree that it’s very well-deserved. Thank you so much for all the hard work that you do for us Ned 🙂

We are also delighted that the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association is being honoured by IMSHOF this year for over 40 years of excellence and promotion of the sport. Huge congratulations to all at ILDSA on this induction and thank you for all your work in promoting our sport throughout the country and encouraging so many people to get involved in open water swimming.
