This weekend, on Sat 22nd Jan, the 5th Cold Water Championships will take place at Tooting Bec Lido, London.

We have 2 teams going –

DOAP: Rob Bohane, Craig Morrison, Lisa Cummins and Finbarr Hedderman.

The Craic Nutters: Sylvain Estadieu, Gabor Molnar, Liz Buckley and Donal Buckley.

Majority of those going have entered (or have been entered) for front crawl, breaststroke and relay sprints.

Breastroke in 1 -4 degree C water … its true and you have to swim with your head out of the water whilst wearing a funny hat….

Most of the crew (all but myself and Craig) have entered for the endurance swim race – 450 metres ….. best of luck, myself and Craig will be in the pub getting the hot toddies ready!!

Wish us luck, or sanity …. don’t know which is more scarce these days 🙂
