Hi folks,

The Turkey Series is a very simple concept…it’s a social event for outdoor swimmers.
We meet on a Sunday in Sandycove and pay €3 into a kitty. Your name is taken and entered into the draw which takes place on the last day of the ‘sprints’.

You don’t have to swim: you can walk the Sandycove ‘ring’, chat amongst friends, it really is up to you. The philosophy behind this event is for everyone, swimmers, friends and family, to socialise.

For those who want to swim: Choice of swim:
1. around the island
2. around the 3 red buoys on the inside of the island
3. across and back to the island

Generally it’s decided on the day what the best options are.

Noone is being timed. Noone is measuring the distance you swim. It is just for fun, so you can wear what you like, fins, shark tail…

Date and times of the swims:

• Sun 31st Oct – meet at 12 noon – Sandycove
  Sun 14th Nov – meet at 12 noon – Sandycove
• Sun 21st Nov – meet at 12 noon – Loch Ine
  Sun 28th Nov – meet at 10.30 am
• Sun 5th Dec – meet at 12 noon – Loch Ine
  Sun 12th Dec – meet at 10.30 am
